Love to watercolor but I have a tendency to overwork it.  I was so happy how this sky and the tiny bit of sunrise/sunset turned out for my background.  I also used a part of the background for another card for the Sept 30 Daily Marker Challenge (posted under the 30 Day Challenge page).

Supplies:  Daniel Smith Watercolors; Gina K “Follow your Dreams”; Sentiment-Gina K;  Ink-Black VersaFine; die-Waffle Flower.

Last year when I first started crafting I bought several wood stamps on ebay.  After going through them looking for Christmas stamps I found this cute Stampin-up stamp set called Ruff Day and just loved this particular stamp.

Supplies:  Neenah Kraft Cardstock; Stampin-up Designer Paper; Prismacolor pencils.

Addicted to CAS #118 – Friends

ATCAS - code word friends

So happy to finally use this House Mouse stamp from Stampendous I got last year called Wreath Kiss (Friend and Amanda).  I thought it was so sweet and fits perfectly in with the Friend theme.  I saw the soft coloring of the bird illustrated on the colored picture of the image and decided to color mine similarly.

Supplies: Prismacolor pencils; Waffle Flower Die; Neenah 100# paper. Sentiments-CAS-ual Fridays Mon Ami and Gina K.

Less is More-A real object challenge.

To find out more about this challenge, click here.

I walked around the house trying to find a real object for this challenge, I didn’t find anything that really stood out.  I knew I had some old single earrings that I had lost the mates to so I decided to check my jewelry boxes.  I found a rose earring, a tiki pendant and a hair pin (bee) and decided to use the hairpin.

I had also gone through some wood stamps that I bought last year on ebay when I first started making cards, there was a cute Penny Black stamp called “Lovin Flowers” and decided it would be perfect for the bee hairpin.  I stamped on Linen cardstock from Papers and More with SSS Barely Beige ink, colored the image with Prismacolor pencils.  I also used a part of a Gina K sentiment for the “Smile” on the sign.

What a fun challenge, now I am going to challenge myself to use the other items I found.
